# West Brom: Fans hammer Romaine Sawyers

**West Bromwich Albion were on the end of a 5-1 defeat in the Premier League against Crystal Palace on Sunday, and Romaine Sawyers was far from at his best.**

Palace took the lead after Darnell Furlong turned into his own net before Conor Gallagher levelled things up. At that point, the Baggies were still in the game, but Matheus Pereira was sent off for kicking out at Patrick van Aanholt. Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke then hammered home the numerical advantage as both netted braces for the Eagles.

Sawyers struggled in the middle of the park, especially with his side down to 10 men. As plenty of the supporters said, he looked like a passenger throughout the match, and he will no doubt be disappointed with his display.
