# West Brom: Fans want to sign Daniel Sturridge

**West Bromwich Albion fans are eager to see their club sign Daniel Sturridge on a free transfer.**

[According to 90min.com](https://www.90min.com/posts/newcastle-offered-chance-sign-daniel-sturridge-exclusive), the Baggies are interested in signing the 31-year-old free agent. He has not played since March of last year, and has also been banned from football during that time after breaching betting regulations ([The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/mar/02/daniel-sturridge-trabzonspor-contract-terminated-after-six-months)). However, with 118 career goals to his name and 26 England caps ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/daniel-sturridge/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/47082)), he is a player with plenty of quality when at his best.

Sturridge actually spent the second half of the 2017/18 campaign on loan at the Hawthorns, but [failed to score](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/daniel-sturridge/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/47082) as he amassed just 116 minutes on the pitch. However, despite that struggle, a number of supporters would like to see him return to the Midlands.
