The Baggies’ official Twitter account [recently posted a tweet](https://twitter.com/WBA/status/1246837753834123265) lauding Lukaku’s “incredible season” with West Brom, back in the 2012/13 campaign. This post caught the attention of Lukaku himself, who [responded to the Baggies’ recent tweet](https://twitter.com/RomeluLukaku9/status/1247146360828301312) by stating that he is “grateful for the opportunity” that West Brom provided him.

Many West Brom supporters flocked to the goalscorer’s recent tweet to share praise for him and his time at The Hawthorns.

Lukaku was a West Brom player for just one season, [joining the Baggies on loan from Chelsea from August 2012 until the end of May 2013](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/romelu-lukaku/transfers/spieler/96341). The attacker, who is [currently valued at £76.5m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/romelu-lukaku/marktwertverlauf/spieler/96341) according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, scored a total of [17 goals and provided seven assists for the Baggies in his 35 Premier League appearances for the club](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/romelu-lukaku/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/96341/plus/0?saison=&verein=984&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=), ending that season as the [sixth-highest goalscorer in England’s top-flight](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/torschuetzenliste/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2012) and helping West Brom to achieve an [eighth-place finish](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table/2012) that term.
