# West Brom: Fans react to Harry Wilson transfer link

**West Brom have registered their interest in Liverpool’s Harry Wilson, according to a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/news/liverpool-harry-wilson-transfer-benfica/MVg0dMp3JTic).**

The Reds are said to value the 24-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, at £13m. Benfica have already made an official approach for the Welshman, while newly-promoted Brentford are also in the hunt.

Wilson is ‘open to the idea’ of making a permanent exit from Anfield after being sent out on loan on five occasions. He has [only made two senior competitive appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdaten/spieler/279455) for the Reds, most recently starting a Carabao Cup tie against Arsenal last autumn.

### Pereira out, Wilson in at West Brom?

Wilson, who [can play on either flank and in a central attacking midfield position](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdaten/spieler/279455), could potentially be a replacement for Matheus Pereira if the 25-year-old leaves The Hawthorns.

Pereira [topped both the goals and assist rankings](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-bromwich-albion/top-scorers) for the Baggies last season as they suffered relegation from the Premier League. A number of top-flight clubs are [said to be](https://theathletic.com/2542833/2021/04/26/pereira-finally-comes-of-age-for-west-brom-in-premier-league-and-a-big-decision-is-coming/) monitoring the Brazilian.

Fan feed [WBA Report](https://twitter.com/WBAReport/status/1408355893973028866) relayed The Athletic’s news about the club’s reported interest in Wilson, and here’s what some fans made of it, with one calling the Welshman a “class player”.
