# West Brom: Fans react to Romaine Sawyers’ tweet

**West Brom stayed top of the [Championship](https://www.skysports.com/championship-table) with a commanding 5-1 win over Swansea City.**

The Baggies are now [unbeaten](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/west-bromwich-albion-football-club/678/matches/) in their last 10 games since losing to Leeds in early October and have won each of their last six games.

They lead Leeds by two points, but the gap behind them is huge – a further eight points back to the play-off places, headed by Fulham.

The nature of the win over the Swans, a side that were in the Premier League just two seasons ago, has fans believing that their side could be back on their way to the top flight.

Midfielder Romaine Sawyers has been at the heart of their success this season.

Having come [through the ranks](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/romaine-sawyers/transfers/spieler/113036) at the Hawthorns, Sawyers left for Walsall and eventually Brentford before returning to West Brom in the summer, becoming an integral part of Slaven Bilic’s side.

He tweeted his joy at the huge win, and fans loved it. Here’s how some of them reacted to it:

> You literally epitomise this football club, dreams will come true if we get to see you lift that Championship trophy in May & the tears will start 😭

> Personally. Yourself and Jake give them that freedom. It’s just so good to have you home. I have followed your career with added interest. You are a prem player. I really hope you do it with us.
