**[According to The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9114759/West-Brom-boss-Sam-Allardyce-eyes-cut-price-deal-favour-Bournemouth-striker-Josh-King.html), West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Josh King from Bournemouth this January.**

As the Baggies lie 19th in the Premier League table with just [one win](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table) in their first 17 games in the competition, Sam Allardyce is wasting no time in attempting to bring in new recruits. Robert Snodgrass is [reportedly](https://twitter.com/JPercyTelegraph/status/1347104602076962816) set for a medical ahead of an 18-month move to the Hawthorns, and they are now looking at bringing in King.

Not long ago, the [£9.9m-valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/marktwertverlauf/spieler/91059) Norway international (Transfermarkt) was [a target](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/01/30/exclusive-manchester-united-fail-bid-joshua-king-bournemouth/) for Manchester United. He has struggled so far this campaign in the Championship, failing to score in [eight](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/91059) matches in the second-tier, but he managed 42 goals in the Premier League in his last four seasons. Not bad going while playing for a side that spent most of that period towards the bottom of the division.
