A number of West Brom supporters have shared their anger on Twitter after Dara O'Shea's serious injury was confirmed by the Baggies.

The 22-year-old has played in every minute of the Baggies' opening five games and has even scored twice to help Valerien Ismael's side into the top two places, behind Fulham, on 13 points.

O'Shea started the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifying fixture defeat to Portugal, but limped off after only 36 minutes and has withdrawn from Stephen Kenny's squad before the draws with Azerbaijan and Serbia.

It was announced on the club's official Twitter account that O'Shea would miss four to six months after suffering a fractured ankle and requires surgery to rectify the injury before undergoing rehabilitation.

The club reacted almost immediately to the news and quickly brought in Kean Bryan on a free transfer following his release from Sheffield United in the summer.
