Many West Bromwich Albion supporters swooned over midfielder Matheus Pereira after his side’s stunning 3-2 victory against Wolves on Saturday.
The 24-year-old converted two penalties as the Baggies got their first victory over their arch-rivals since 2012 – the last time the two teams faced each other in the Premier League.
Pereira’s spot-kicks and Semi Ajayi’s second-half header ensured that Sam Allardyce’s side left Molineux with full bragging rights of the Black Country.
The Brazilian shone on the day – as well as his goals, he provided two key passes, accumulated a pass success rate of 83.3% and received the second-highest match rating out of the West Brom players with 7.6 (Whoscored).
Was Matheus Pereira West Brom's best player vs Wolves?
Because of this, supporters were overjoyed with Pereira in what was such a crucial game for them, making their feelings clear on social media.
