# West Bromwich Albion: Predicted XI to face Hull City

**West Brom will seek to take a step closer to Premier League promotion when they welcome Hull City to The Hawthorns this afternoon.**

Slaven Bilic’s side [ended a four-match winless streak](https://www.skysports.com/championship-table) in the league by thumping Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at Hillsborough in midweek and they play host to the [relegation-threatened Tigers](https://www.skysports.com/championship-table), who themselves had an overdue win on Thursday against Middlesbrough.

The Baggies have a [clean bill of health](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1381766/Preview/England-Championship-2019-2020-West-Bromwich-Albion-Hull) for today’s match, so any changes that Bilic makes to his line-up will be purely at his own discretion. [He had hinted](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/slaven-bilic-drops-kamil-grosicki-18538735) that Kamil Grosicki, who came off the bench to [set up Matheus Pereira’s second goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576) against the Owls, could be in line for his [first West Brom start](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kamil-grosicki/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/37920/verein/984), ironically against the club [he left to join Albion](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2020/01/31/deal-west-brom-sign-kamil-grosicki/) in the winter.

Football Transfer Tavern’s predicted XI shows three changes to the West Brom side [that won in Sheffield](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576) in midweek:

**Sam Johnstone** keeps his place in goal, while the full-back duo of **Kieran Gibbs** and **Dara O’Shea** could be retained. **Ahmed Hegazi** also remains in the starting line-up while **Semi Ajayi**, who was a [late substitute at Hillsborough](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576), could come back into the side at the expense of Kyle Bartley.

**Jake Livermore** was also [benched in midweek](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576) but there is a strong chance that he will resume his defensive midfield partnership with **Romaine Sawyers**. Rekeem Harper would drop out as a result.

The composition of the attacking midfield sector could see some changes from the [team that won at Sheffield Wednesday](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576). **Pereira** is virtually sure of a place after his [two goals in Yorkshire](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576), while **Filip Krovinovic** might also be kept in the side. On the left, though, **Grosicki** may come in for an overdue start, in which case Grady Diangana would be the man to miss out. Callum Robinson is also in contention to feature on that flank.

\[freshpress-poll id=”307966″\]

**Charlie Austin** got the ball rolling on Wednesday with his [first half penalty](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576) and, with that being Albion’s [first league goal in five games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-bromwich-albion/spielplan/verein/984), he deserves another chance to start at centre-forward, although Hal Robson-Kanu will be itching to reclaim his place in the side after being [benched against the Owls](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3219576).

With no injuries to trouble him and a depth of attacking options in particular, Bilic’s team selection for today will seem an enviable one to managers whose choices are severely hampered.
