# West Brom: Sky Sports commentator hails Tom Rogic signing

**Sky Sports commentator [Gary Taphouse](https://twitter.com/garytaphouse/status/1569298884299472901) has called West Brom’s move for former Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic a ‘really good signing’.**

### The Lowdown: Rogic signs

The Baggies have taken advantage of the free agent market all summer and officially brought in Rogic on Monday before also adding defender [Erik Pieters](https://www.wba.co.uk/news/albion-sign-dutch-defender-erik-pieters) 24 hours later.

The 29-year-old left the Scottish giants over the summer and has now penned a [one-year deal](https://www.wba.co.uk/news/australia-international-tom-rogic-joins-albion) at The Hawthorns. Rogic is [primarily](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tom-rogic/profil/spieler/213672) an attacking midfielder but can also play on the right or as a second striker.

### The Latest: Taphouse reacts

Taking to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/garytaphouse/status/1569298884299472901), Sky Sports man Taphouse reacted to the news of Rogic joining West Brom.

The commentator described the move as a ‘really good signing for the Baggies’ and hinted at a first chance to see the Aussie in action against Birmingham on Wednesday.

### The Verdict: On the bench tonight?

[Reports](https://www.offalyexpress.ie/news/sport/910619/tom-rogic-unlikely-to-feature-when-west-brom-take-on-birmingham.html) have suggested that Rogic is unlikely to feature this evening against Birmingham due to a lack of match fitness. However, it could make sense for Steve Bruce to include the Australia international on the bench at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies have only scored twice in a game on [two](https://www.skysports.com/west-bromwich-albion-results) occasions this season, so Rogic’s creativity could prove handy as the game goes on if the home side need a breakthrough.
