West Bromwich Albion fans have been reacting to comments from Sam Allardyce, who said that deals for three potential new signings have fallen through in the past week.
So far this January, the Midlands outfit have brought in Robert Snodgrass from West Ham United (wba.co.uk) as well as Andy Lonergan from Derby County. However, as they lie in 19th place in the Premier League table, it is quite clear that West Brom need more new arrivals.
Allardyce was speaking ahead of the Baggies’ match with Wolves in the English top flight this weekend. When asked about transfers, he unfortunately admitted that potential deals for three new signings have fallen through.
Will West Brom make any more signings this January?
This news, which was relayed by journalist Joseph Masi on Twitter, has not gone down well with the club’s supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about comments from Allardyce
“Just excuses and next season we’ve already got to replace Gallagher and Krovinović. We also have players like Gibbs, Townsend and Edwards out of contract that we may have to replace. We are in a massive mess from top to bottom. #WBA”
“#WBA so Brexit and other clubs not following Sam’s agenda. The excuses are embarrassing but to be honest this ghost season is a farce anyway & any result will have an * next to it invalidating it. That said draw twice against the Wolves & once against the Villa that will do me”
“Why did they let Austin go then. The Club is being run by lunatics and they are getting away with it”
“Surely he knew what he was getting into here! He loves the sound of his own voice! Highly unlikely we’ll sign anyone with takeover talks on the cards and he’ll walk to keep his unblemished record in place”
“sums our club up that”
In other news, West Brom fans want to sign this 29-cap international.
