According to L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), FC Lorient are interested in signing Cedric Kipre from West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies signed the 24-year-old from Wigan Athletic only last September, but he has failed to make an impact at the Hawthorns. In fact, he is yet to make a single appearance in the Premier League, with his only playing time coming via two matches in the League Cup and one in the F.A Cup (Transfermarkt).
Now, it seems like he could already be out of the door, albeit on a temporary basis. As per this report, Ligue 1 side Lorient want to take him on loan until the end of the season. They are currently 19th in the French top flight, so he would be joining a similar situation as the one West Brom find themselves in.
Should Kipre go out on loan?
The news, which was relayed by Twitter account @WBAReport, has attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, and they took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about Kipre below
“At least the lad will get game time”
“No take Ivanović instead”
“Leyton Orient is more his level.”
“He’s going FC Lorient most likely”
