Sam Allardyce’s West Bromwich Albion have recently made an offer for Celta Vigo midfielder Okay Yokuslu.
Journalist Loic Tanzi has recently provided an update about West Brom’s interest in Yokuslu and it seems as if an offer has been made for the midfielder.
Should West Brom sign Yokuslu?
‘Last offer’ made for the Celta midfielder
Tanzi’s tweet talked about the club’s interest in Yokuslu, saying that West Brom consider this to be their ‘last offer’ for the midfielder. They have made a loan offer for the Turkish midfielder and they’ve also included a compulsory purchase option in the deal, which would come into the equation if the Baggies end up staying in the Premier League.
The journalist also said that a response from Celta is ‘expected’ today. This comes about a week after Spanish outlet AS had stated that Yokuslu was on West Brom’s shortlist for potential midfield options and discussions for a move were underway at that point itself.
Yokuslu would add depth to the West Brom side
Yokuslu can play in defensive midfield, but he can also ply his trade in the central midfield position and at centre-back too.
As things stand, the Baggies have just one option for the defensive midfield spot and two out-and-out options in central midfield. Yokuslu would add depth in that part of the pitch, and because of his versatility, he would also add a number in the defence too in case of emergencies.
