Flocking to Twitter, many West Bromwich Albion fans have had something to say about a transfer claim involving Orlando City forward Daryl Dike.

Valerien Ismael's side are looking to continue their fight for a bounce straight back up to the Premier League and currently lie third in the Championship standings, six points off an automatic place.

The Baggies are looking to address one key area above all in January to maintain their push for promotion, the striker department (Joseph Masi), with Ismael even admitting to the press that 'things are in place behind the scenes' in terms of identifying targets (Express and Star).

Sharing an update on West Brom's push for a striker, Birmingham Live reporter Joe Chapman detailed who they could swoop for in January as he answered questions in a Q&A.

According to the reporter, forward Dike, who enjoyed a prolific spell on loan at Barnsley last season, may well become a target and you cannot rule him out as a signing in the winter window.

As per his information, West Brom would be 'pushing very hard' to get a player like the 21-year-old given their financial constraints and the fact Ismael is a 'big fan'.

Baggies fans react...

Flocking to this striker claim, some Baggies supporters have had mixed reviews on social media despite the fact they could swoop for a forward with a prolific 11 goals in 19 MLS appearances over 2021 (Transfermarkt).

He's also been called 'ruthless' by one of his former coaches in the United States, George Gelnovatch (ScoreCiti.com).

However, while some are excited at the prospect of signing Dike, others hold reservations over whether they can actually get it done.
