# West Bromwich Albion: Fans go wild over Matheus Pereira training footage

**Plenty of West Brom fans lapped up footage of on-loan winger Matheus Pereira training at his home over the weekend, with some of the Baggies faithful taking the opportunity to send a message to the club.**

The Brazilian forward shared his stay-at-home training footage on his Twitter profile [@MatheusPereira](https://twitter.com/MatheusPereira/status/1259533789279240198), featuring him going through a series of exercises as he prepares for the potential return of the Championship season, as hinted by his caption of “Ready to go back”.

The 24-year-old [came to The Hawthorns on loan](https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2019/august/pereira-signs-for-the-baggies/) from Sporting Lisbon last summer and has been a tremendous creative outlet for Slaven Bilic’s side this season – his tally of [16 assists in 33 league appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/matheus-pereira/leistungsdaten/spieler/225984) is by far the [most in West Brom’s squad](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-bromwich-albion/leistungsdaten/verein/984/reldata/%262019/plus/1), while he also has [six goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/matheus-pereira/leistungsdaten/spieler/225984) to his name.

Pereira came to the club on a one-year loan deal which is set to expire at the end of June, although the club have the option of turning that into a permanent transfer, as per [wba.co.uk](https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2019/august/pereira-signs-for-the-baggies/).
