# West Bromwich Albion: Fans loved video call between members of 2007/08 promotion-winning team

**Plenty of West Brom fans enjoyed the club’s sharing of a video call between six members of the squad which gained promotion to the Premier League in 2008 as winners of the Championship.**

Chris Brunt hosted a Zoom call involving him, Kevin Phillips, Zoltan Gera, Paul Robinson, James Morrison and captain of that season Jonathan Greening (as per [wba.co.uk](https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2020/may/championship-winners-join-anniversary-reunion/)) as they shared their memories of the campaign from 12 years ago, with a snippet of the call featured on Twitter by [@WBA](https://twitter.com/WBA/status/1257386604584468488).

The video montage featured Morrison getting taunted for apparently claiming that he thought the Baggies wouldn’t lose a home game. It also included the goal from Brunt against Southampton which [effectively sealed promotion](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_1/7356066.stm) back to the top flight, with their status as champions confirmed following a [2-0 win at QPR](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_1/7368623.stm) on the final day. A year after [losing the play-off final against Derby](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_1/6689971.stm), Tony Mowbray’s team achieved promotion with [23 wins and 88 goals from their 46 league games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/tabelle/wettbewerb/GB2?saison_id=2007).

These West Brom fans on Twitter enjoyed the catch-up between the aforementioned six members of the Championship-winning squad:

> Fantastic watch, great to see they’re all still friends. Special team that was 🏆if only we could’ve kept it all together for another season!
