### The Lowdown: Agents make offer to West Ham…

Indeed, the outlet claimed back in December that the player’s own representatives had sounded out the Hammers over a potential move among ‘several’ Premier League and European clubs.

After his agents allegedly made contact with West Ham, it appears that the east Londoners are taking an interest beyond January.

### The Latest: West Ham eyeing Wijnaldum…

As per [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/atletico-madrid-piace-wijnaldum-ma-e-conteso-da-altri-3-club-43718), sharing an update, the Hammers are now apparently interested in signing Wijnaldum alongside the likes Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

The report added that the 31-year-old could indeed leave PSG after just one season under Mauricio Pochettino.

### The Verdict: Make a move?

Described as a [‘sensational’](https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12312802/klopp-praises-sensational-wijnaldum) player and [‘legend’](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9609829/Jurgen-Klopp-heaps-praise-LFC-legend-Gini-Wijnaldum-Dutchman-set-Liverpool-exit.html) of Liverpool by Jurgen Klopp, we believe that a move for the Netherlands international shouldn’t be entirely dismissed.

Wijnaldum is able to play a variety of roles in midfield both [offensively and defensively,](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/georginio-wijnaldum/profil/spieler/49499) not to mention having a [plethora of experience](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/georginio-wijnaldum/detaillierteleistungsdaten/spieler/49499) on the biggest stages in world football. Amassing [85 caps](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/georginio-wijnaldum/profil/spieler/49499) for his country, the [2019 Champions League winner](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/georginio-wijnaldum/erfolge/spieler/49499) could bring an elite level mentality to Rush Green and provide that injection of top-level wisdom.

Depending on PSG’s price tag, we can’t picture the French giants demanding much given his age and [lack of starting time](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/33568/Show/Georginio-Wijnaldum) at the Parc des Princes this season.
