# West Ham: Fans criticise Declan Rice performance

**Many spectators have taken to Twitter to criticise Declan Rice’s performance vs Crystal Palace.**

In a hotly contested clash at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, both teams huffed and puffed in what was a lively early season encounter.

Following the [2-2](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58289647) draw at the London Stadium, some fans did not think the performance of England international Rice matched his usual high standards.

Only receiving a rating of 6.4 out of 10 from football statistic pioneers [SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/team/football/west-ham-united/37), there is definitely much room for improvement for the 22-year-old as the campaign progresses – that was the lowest score of any outfield player for the Irons.

Loads of West Ham diehards took to social media to share their opinions on the display.
