# West Ham: Fans react as Felipe Anderson is in talks with FC Porto

**West Ham United’s Felipe Anderson has been struggling over the last year or so to find the form he had in his first campaign at the club, in which he managed an impressive [nine goals and four assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/93026/Show/Felipe-Anderson) in the Premier League.**

Since that 2018/29 season, the 27 year-old has managed just one goal and four assists in England’s top flight, and has only played two minutes in the Premier League in 2020/21, via [WhoScored.](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/93026/Show/Felipe-Anderson)

However it looks like he might get a chance to reignite his career away from the East London side as journalist Fabrizio Romano has recently [tweeted](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1313140096745590784?s=20) that Portuguese side FC Porto are in advanced talks to sign Felipe Anderson from the Irons.

It seems like a large part of the Hammers fan base are happy to see him depart, which is understandable due to his poor form. Some fans are already hoping this means that reported transfer target Said Benrahma could be on his way to the club, and with the Brentford player managing 17 goals and eight assists in the Championship last season, per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/137021/Show/Sa%C3%AFd-Benrahma), it is easy to see why many West Ham fans would like to see him join the club.
