# West Ham: Fans react to new goalkeeper rumours

**West Ham are lining up a move for an experienced Premier League goalkeeper in January, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-husillos-goes-to-work-as-west-ham-work-on-january-signing-proven-in-pl/).**

The Hammers are in the market for a new shot-stopper, despite first-choice keeper Lukasz Fabianski making good [progress](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-husillos-goes-to-work-as-west-ham-work-on-january-signing-proven-in-pl/) on his return from injury.

The Poland international has been absent since September after he sustained a [hip injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lukasz-fabianski/leistungsdaten/spieler/29692) against Bournemouth, with second-choice Roberto Jimenez massively struggling for form since stepping into the fold.

The Spaniard has conceded [13 goals](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-husillos-goes-to-work-as-west-ham-work-on-january-signing-proven-in-pl/) in the Irons’ last six league games, with it abundantly clear that he is not at the desired level required to feature regularly for the east London club.

A West Ham source has told [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-husillos-goes-to-work-as-west-ham-work-on-january-signing-proven-in-pl/) that the club accept they do not have adequate back-up in the goalkeeping department after Adrian was released in June and will now move to sign an experienced Premier League shot-stopper when the January transfer window opens.

Here’s how some West Ham fans reacted to that news on Twitter..

> It will be To late by then…. Damage is and will be done

> We’ll be in the bottom 3 by January, who’ll want to come to us then? Poor summer signing, yet again going for the cheapest option!

> Anyone better than Roberto. He may have been good at his old club but hasn’t worked for him
