# West Ham: Fans react to Tammy Abraham transfer update

**West Ham United are seemingly the front-runners to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea, as reported by [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-in-pole-position-to-sign-abraham-as-new-asking-price-revealed/).**

In 2020/21, the England international enjoyed a fruitful campaign, bagging 18 goal contributions in 32 fixtures, with 12 goals and six assists \[[Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdaten/spieler/331726/plus/0?saison=2020)\] to finish as the Blues joint-top scorer alongside Timo Werner \[[BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/top-scorers)\].

Having previously been linked with Aston Villa, the Hammers now seem to be in pole position for his signature as their search for a centre-forward intensifies \[[Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-in-pole-position-to-sign-abraham-as-new-asking-price-revealed/)\].

Despite initially being valued at £40m by Chelsea, it is believed that £35m could be enough to prise the 23-year-old away from Stamford Bridge heading into the new season \[[Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-in-pole-position-to-sign-abraham-as-new-asking-price-revealed/)\].

In light of this update, many West Ham supporters took to Twitter to share their delight at these recent developments.

**“West Ham can sign Tammy Abraham for £30m now & not £40m as reported earlier because David Moyes told them he is only worth £25m so they have bought down the price down to £30m now go and do the deal now West Ham the player wants the move so that he plays with Declan Rice!”**
