West Ham: Football finance expert shares Irons ‘benefit’ after new commercial deal

West Ham United are set to ‘benefit’ after the east Londoners announced a multi-year commercial partnership with e-Commerce platform Huboo.

The Lowdown: Hammers making moves…

The Hammers have been making moves both on and off the field in recent times, having just enjoyed their most fruitful summer transfer window since the Premier League‘s inception.

Indeed, manager David Moyes has overseen significant investment in his squad with the arrivals of some pretty big names.

Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes, Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet, Thilo Kehrer, Emerson Palmieri and club record signing Lucas Paqueta have all put pen to paper on moves to the London Stadium.

That is a pretty big indicator West Ham are managing their resources financially, and as announced on Wednesday, they have now also signed a multi-year deal with Huboo in another boost for the club.

The Latest: Maguire explains benefits of West Ham deal…

Hammers commercial chief Nathan Thompson stated the east Londoners are ‘extremely excited’ by this merger with one of the fastest-growing UK-headquartered fulfilment technology providers.

Kieran Maguire, expanding on the development, says this is brilliant news for West Ham. The football finance guru explained to Football Insider:

“West Ham are perhaps best off focusing on football and their relationship with fans. Therefore, handing over the eCommerce platform to Huboo, who have expertise in this field, means all parties benefit.

“The club can focus on the football side of things and Huboo can concentrate on getting the club’s name out there and attracting people to buy into the name of West Ham and all of the benefits that brings with it.“

The Verdict: Hammers growing…

To grow as a football club, West Ham need to branch out and grow their portfolio off-the-field by agreeing lucrative partnerships with influential companies.

GSBK will want to grow the club’s brand overall and signing this deal with Huboo means the London Stadium side can continue to elevate their standing in the eCommerce world.

This may well prove to be a very smart business move by the West Ham hierarchy, especially from a financial perspective.
