# West Ham: Journalist makes triple transfer claim on Twitter

**[West Ham United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/west-ham-news/) are currently in discussions to sign three players as the east Londoners aim to give their full backing to manager David Moyes, according to journalist Jacque Talbot.**

### The Lowdown: Hammers gear up…

So far, the Hammers have signed Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes and Alphonse Areola on a permanent deal and there’s currently no signs of slowing down.

Links are [plentiful](https://twitter.com/jac_talbot/status/1549044280341061632) to top strikers in Chelsea forward Armando Broja and Sassuolo star Gianluca Scamacca while there have been reports of an [improved offer](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-ham-amadou-onana-liverpool-24512610) to sign Lille starlet Amadou Onana.

West Ham seem eager to strengthen this summer and avoid a repeat of last season, where they narrowly missed out on Europa League football for 2022/2023 on the final match-day.

Moyes may even be aiming to contend for a top-four finish and gift Irons supporters the chance of watching their side compete in the Champions League.

### The Latest: Talbot makes triple transfer claim…

According to reporter Talbot, it appears West Ham are in simultaneous talks to sign three players for Moyes.

Indeed, taking to[Twitter,](https://twitter.com/jac_talbot/status/1549044280341061632) the journalist explains that Scamacca, Broja and Onana are all under discussion.

He explained:

*“Told Chelsea Armando Broja is flying back to England for further talks with West Ham about a potential transfer but nothing agreed yet. Deal is at a more advanced stage than Amadou Onana and Gianluca Scamacca but club in discussions with them all.”*

### The Verdict: Ambitious?

West Ham adopting a scattergun approach to this market could actually be a sign of ambition with club owners GSB and head of recruitment Rob Newman intent on getting deals done.

This may well be a positive for supporters who want to see Moyes’ side maintain their place among the [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/)‘s elite, but with just over a month to go until the window shuts, they need to start finalising these moves or they risk being left in a similar situation to January, when time ran out on moves for the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.
