# West Ham: Moyes ‘ready to swoop’ for Gallagher

**[West Ham United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/west-ham-news/) manager David Moyes is ‘ready to swoop’ for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher as the Irons plot a ‘daring bid’, according to reports.**

### The Lowdown: Hammers keeping busy…

Indeed, reports suggest West Ham are not finished after the signings of Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes, Alphonse Areola, Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet, Thilo Kehrer and Emerson.

### The Latest: West Ham plot ‘daring’ Gallagher bid…

According to a new piece of information, Hammers head coach Moyes is personally ‘ready to swoop’ for Gallagher.

What’s more, [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/19593645/west-ham-plot-conor-gallagher-bid-chelsea/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1661262297) state that West Ham are ‘plotting a daring bid’ to sign the 22-year-old on loan with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace also in the frame.

It’s added Moyes wants to inject ‘pace and power’ into his ranks with Gallagher standing out as a late target.

### The Verdict: Make the move?

Homegrown and fresh off the back of a brilliant campaign on loan at Palace last year, Gallagher could provide West Ham with real final third quality.

Called a[‘very exciting player’](https://www.footballinsider247.com/pundit-cant-believe-aston-villa-could-sign-next-mason-mount-after-update/) by ex-Leeds United striker Noel Whelan, the Stamford Bridge sensation finished 21/22 as Palace’s best-performing player by average match rating and was also among Patrick Vieira’s most selected players in the top flight ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/162/Archive/England-Crystal-Palace)).

His [eight goals and three league assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/162/Archive/England-Crystal-Palace) in that time stand out as another incentive for West Ham to try and get a deal over the line before September 1.
