# West Ham: Moyes gifted potentially big Broja boost

**[West Ham United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/west-ham-news/) manager David Moyes have been handed a big boost in his pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer, according to reports.**

### The Lowdown: Hammers move expected…

The Irons are expected to formalise their interest in Southampton’s former loanee soon, as backed by Sky journalist [Dharmesh Sheth](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/west-ham-transfer-rumours/west-ham-news-dharmesh-sheth-sky-sports-broja-update-whufc/) very recently.

Broja [excelled in parts](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19923022.southampton-legend-admits-broja-will-difficult-keep-amid-reported-arsenal-interest/) at St. Mary’s Stadium over the 2021/2022 [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) season and impressed in all of his encounters against West Ham, both in the league and in cup competitions [(The Sun).](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/18473919/west-ham-armando-broja-chelsea-transfer-exclusive/)

The Albania international’s ability has seemingly turned Moyes’ head as he seeks to end the long-time hunt for a new striker and alternative to Michail Antonio.

### The Latest: Taylor shares exciting Broja update…

As per Ryan Taylor of The Daily Express, who’s shared an update on [Twitter,](https://twitter.com/ryantaylorsport/status/1539177325211922432?s=21&t=LLJkMX_s-4aYnvZmtK9cRQ) a boost for Moyes and co may have emerged in the chase for Broja.

Indeed, according to his information, the 20-year-old is prepared to consider ‘any’ offer from West Ham and a bid is believed to be ‘imminent’.

He explained:

*“Per source, Armando Broja is prepared to consider any offer that arrives from West Ham. Opening bid in region of £30m appears to be imminent. Thomas Tuchel would still prefer to assess striker in pre-season before deciding his future.”*

### The Verdict: Very exciting…

The colossal 6 foot 3 target man would undoubtedly be a brilliant capture for Moyes.

Still very young and having arguably proved his ability in the top flight already, when at his best, Broja is a very capable striker and could be the answer to rotate with Antonio.

While his form tailed off past February last year [(Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/leistungsdaten/spieler/571743), the starlet did impress under Ralph Hasenhuttl earlier in the 21/22 campaign, with Saints legend and ex-defender Francis Benali calling him [‘sensational’.](https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19923022.southampton-legend-admits-broja-will-difficult-keep-amid-reported-arsenal-interest/)

If the east Londoners can get it done, Broja would be an ideal addition.
