Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany has shared a major update on West Ham United‘s pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic.

Alongside their move for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, it is believed that the Hammers and head of recruitment Rob Newman are also in discussions for Kostic as manager David Moyes aims to fully prepare for next season.

Having already completed moves for Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on a permanent deal – Moyes is seemingly determined to keep pace with England’s best sides.
Both Scamacca and Kostic share the same agent, prompting simultaneous talks, with both players on West Ham’s radar ahead of what could be a very interesting 2022/2023 Premier League campaign.

Shedding light on the bid from West Ham, Sky Germany reporter Plettenberg has some news for Irons supporters.
Indeed, it is claimed that GSB’s offer to sign Kostic is a ‘big’ one.
He explained: “News #Kostic: Yes, there is definitely an official offer from West Ham on the table. Also via Sky UK and Sky Italia. It’s a big offer! More than €15m transfer fee. But no agreement between the clubs so far. Negotiations now and ongoing. Kostic is open to leave.”
