### The Verdict: Excellent addition…

Kehrer’s versatility is a huge bonus of his arrival.

The German can operate as a full-back, wing-back and holding midfielder alongside his natural duties at centre-half, so just over £10 million plus add-ons really is a brilliant price ([Sky Sports)](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12675151/west-ham-sign-defender-thilo-kehrer-from-paris-saint-germain-for-10-1m-plus-add-ons).

Kehrer’s experience at the top level will also be invaluable, having clinched[six major domestic honours](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12675151/west-ham-sign-defender-thilo-kehrer-from-paris-saint-germain-for-10-1m-plus-add-ons) with PSG and featuring often for Germany’s national team squad.

Indeed, this could end up being one of West Ham’s signings of the summer.
