West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh have shared some bad injury news before the club's crunch London derby against Tottenham this weekend.

The Lowdown: Irons injury woes...

Irons boss David Moyes has been left without a number of key players this season at various points with concerns now surrounding both Lucas Paqueta and Nayef Aguerd.

The pair were both taken off through injury in West Ham's last Premier League encounter with Chelsea, potentially leaving Moyes vastly short of options for another blockbuster London head-to-head.

Aguerd in particular has been absent for large chunks of the 2022/2023 campaign with C&H not exactly sharing the best of news for supporters.

The Latest: West Ham insider shares news...

Sharing an update from one of their sources, the insiders claim both Aguerd and Paqueta could be out for weeks and, as a result, are very likely to miss the Spurs game.

The informant explained:

"They are both likely to be out for weeks rather than months.”

The Verdict: Worry for Moyes...

There is little doubting that both players potentially being ruled out for their match against Tottenham this Sunday would come as a major blow.

According to WhoScored, Aguerd and Paqueta both rank in Moyes' top four by average match rating in the top flight this season.

The latter Brazilian has stood out as a key attacking threat for West Ham also, averaging more shots at goal per 90 than any Hammers player.

Aguerd, meanwhile, has made West Ham's joint-second highest amount of clearances per 90 and sits third in their squad for successful tackles (WhoScored).

Against a top-four chasing side like their London rivals, Aguerd and Paqueta will surely be huge, huge misses.
