Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has shared a further transfer update on West Ham's bid to sign Lorient star Terem Moffi.

The Lowdown: Hammers table bid...

The Hammers recently tabled a £25 million bid for the forward, who has been on fire for Lorient in France this season.

Earlier this week, Sky shared that West Ham made the offer of an initial £20 million plus a further £5m in add-ons for the Nigerian as manager David Moyes eyes further additions to avoid the drop.

The east Londoners could even make more than one attacking addition as West Ham reportedly also agree a deal to sign Aston Villa attacker Danny Ings.

Journalist Alan Nixon claimed talks have commenced with Moffi's agent over personal terms as they seek to beat Nice to his signature, with Sheth now sharing a further update.

The Latest: Sheth shares Moffi to West Ham update...

Taking to Twitter, the Sky journalist claims Lorient 'would accept' the £25m bid from West Ham after being 'also told' that information alongside talks for Ings.

Whilst there is not an issue on the part of talks between both West Ham and the French side, the problem lies with Moffi himself, who is still 'undecided' over whether to join.

The Verdict: Exciting target...

The 23-year-old would provide West Ham with both quality for Moyes' survival bid and a long-term signing for the future, so this move would tick many boxes.

It's no secret that Moffi is Lorient's star player, having registered a phenomenal 12 goals in 17 Ligue 1 starts this season - evidence that he could provide the goal threat so desperately needed at West Ham.

Moyes' side are among the Premier League's lowest goalscoring sides and face fellow strugglers Everton in what will be a huge encounter on Saturday.

Injury woes have plagued their squad this season with Italian striker and summer signing Gianluca Scamacca now facing time out in a further blow for the Irons boss.

Alongside Ings, Lorient's forward could be an exciting addition for West Ham given their arguable need for an injection of exuberant attacking flair.
