West Ham United: Fans fear the worst in relegation battle after defeat to Wolves

Many West Ham fans are fearful for their team’s Premier League future after they fell to a 0-2 defeat at home to Wolves this evening.
Earlier in the day, the Hammers watched their relegation rivals Watford and Brighton gain valuable points with late goals, and David Moyes’ team lost ground on those clubs after second half goals from Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto consigned them to a fourth league defeat from their last five games.

West Ham managed just two shots on target across the entire game against Nuno Espirito Santo’s team and could find themselves in the relegation zone overnight if Bournemouth avoid defeat against Crystal Palace tonight. Aston Villa could also move above the Hammers if they beat Chelsea tomorrow afternoon.
Today’s defeat was the east Londoners’ eighth at home in the 2019/20 Premier League and their 17th in total in the division. Following their latest setback, many West Ham fans took to Twitter to voice their pessimism about the ensuing relegation battle. One supporter lamented that his team “are the new Sunderland”, an unflattering reference to Moyes’ former club that suffered consecutive relegations since 2017 and are primed for a third successive season in League One.

Looks more and more likely that we’ll have the most embarrassing relegation in EPL history. New stadium and ridiculous amount spend on transfers and wages just to go to Rotherham away. This football club is actually sickening. We are the new Sunderland. Also, release Cresswell.

That’s us down. Never say the fans “getting on at the players” are the reason they don’t perform well. Pathetic

The most inept disinterested bunch of players in the history of the football club, a disgrace to the shirt from the whole midfield and attack. We are going down that is clear.

Sack Moyes now and get big Sam in. Seriously or we will go down. It’s our only hope. At least we will organise us. We have no game plan at all.

Remember winning is what Dave “No trophies” Moyes does! If we stay up it will be a miracle. I bet Bournemouth now win tonight. We won’t win or be anything under Moyes or this board or at that stadium without significant change. Can’t see us getting results in the next 2 either.

Let’s just call it relegation and wave a white flag eh? Ah, we just did.
Cheers lads.

Please let this club die.
