As it stands, West Ham United have only signed Tomas Soucek on a permanent deal in this transfer window, and with the player having been at the club on loan last season, it feels in a way like they haven't made any new additions.

Combined with the sale of academy prospect Grady Diangana to fellow Premier League side West Bromwich Albion for only £12.15m, it has seen a lot of Hammers fans become frustrated with the current transfer plans at the club.

There has been an update on their transfer strategy, according to the Daily Mail, via West Ham Gossip, as manager David Moyes has formulated a plan to rebuild the Hammers' defence. The Scot wants a centre-back and two new full-backs at London Stadium before the 5 October deadline.

This seems like the right approach as West Ham conceded 62 goals in the Premier League last season, which was the fifth-most in the division, per SofaScore.

However, some fans are still frustrated and understandably so as the season starts this weekend, so whatever signings they do make will have to come in whilst the campaign has already started and it would have been much more ideal if they arrived beforehand as they could have been embedded into the squad before the competitive action begins.

Here is what these West Ham fans said following the update on Moyes' transfer plans:
