England progressed to the quarter-finals of this summer's European Championships on Tuesday evening, and West Ham's shining star Declan Rice is getting plenty of attention in the aftermath.

Gareth Southgate opted to name a defence-minded starting XI, which certainly paid off, as they saw off Joachim Löw's side at Wembley.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane proved to be enough for England, which sparked jubilant scenes across the country.

West Ham United midfielder Rice caught the eye with an impressive performance on the day, despite the 22-year-old picking up a yellow card early into the match for bringing down Germany's Leon Goretzka on the counter-attack.

Rice made four tackles, three interceptions, as well as having a pass success rate of 95.3%, which certainly makes for impressive reading (Statistics sourced from Whoscored).

Rice has started all of England's matches in the tournament so far, and will be keen to play his part in their next match against Ukraine, which takes place on Saturday evening.

Plenty of West Ham supporters took to social media to issue their verdicts on Rice's performance at Wembley on Tuesday evening, with many being impressed with this recent showing.
