West Ham United manager David Moyes was 'not best pleased' with Said Benrahma after what the Algerian did against Anderlecht.

The Lowdown: Hammers edge out crucial win...

The east Londoners came away from Belgium with a hard-fought 1-0 win as they take a mighty step towards qualification to the Europa Conference League knockout phase.

West Ham were made to work hard for the three points but arguably remained in control for much of the contest, with summer signing Gianluca Scamacca eventually finding the breakthrough.

The Italian's goal, his second in two games, will come as a real relief for Moyes, who has now guided his team to consecutive victories in all competitions, easing the pressure on his position.

The Latest: Moyes furious at Benrahma...

One player who arguably had an off night was Said Benrahma, who missed a few gilt-edged chances and endured a rather wasteful evening against the Jupiler Pro League side.

Perhaps summing up the Algerian's night, Moyes - as spotted by journalist Jonty Colman - was furious with the ex-Brentford star after he squandered a counterattack through miscontrolling the ball.

Colman said (via Twitter): "Said Benrahma miscontrols the ball on the counter, safe to say David Moyes not best pleased about it."

The Verdict: Unfortunate...

It was certainly an evening to forget for Benrahma, who was replaced just before the 70-minute mark and ranked as West Ham's worst performer with a 6.4/10 rating (SofaScore).

He also lost possession 15 times, missed two big opportunities and found none of his attempted crosses into the box (SofaScore).

Indeed, if he is to fight his way into Moyes' Premier League plans, Benrahma needs to seize opportunities to impress in Europe.
