West Ham United manager David Moyes has shared a pre-Anderlecht doubt for the Premier League side involving striker Michail Antonio.

The Lowdown: Hammers prepare...

The Hammers could seal top spot of their UEFA Europa Conference League group with victory over Anderlecht at the London Stadium this evening.

David Moyes' side ran out 1-0 winners in Belgium last week during the first part of their double header with the Jupiler Pro League giants - courtesy of a late goal from summer signing Gianluca Scamacca.

Now, attention switches to east London and a crucial tie given West Ham can clinch an early Group B victory and potentially rest players for the remaining games afterwards.

The Latest: Moyes shares Antonio update...

Speaking to the media before West Ham's clash with Anderlecht at 8pm, Moyes has now shared a fitness worry for striker Antonio.

Indeed, the Jamaica international is now a doubt for tonight's match having missed the last few training sessions with illness.

Moyes explained (via the BBC):

"Micky Antonio has had a wee bit of cold, or the flu, which has kept him out of training a day or two.

"We're a little bit unsure on him. We've got a couple of knocks and niggles but hopefully, he will be OK.

"We've won five out of six at the moment and I've sensed the belief coming back in training.

"I'm seeing an awful lot of things and thinking 'this is looking good and going in the right direction'. I hope I'm right in what I'm observing."

The Verdict: Scamacca time?

If Antonio is unavailable, it's perhaps time for Moyes to give summer signing Gianluca Scamacca an extended run in the team and start him again tonight.

The Italy international has been on fire lately, scoring in both of West Ham's last two English top flight matches, not to mention in four of their last five Conference League encounters including qualifiers (Transfermarkt).

That being said, Antonio will still be a miss, with Moyes explaining the forward is 'really important' to West Ham's style of play.

His physicality and power can be a real asset in the attacking areas so the east Londoners will be hoping they can call upon him, at least as an option, either tonight or soon after.
