West Ham United target and Chelsea striker Armando Broja 'could be on the move' as journalist Pete O'Rourke makes a potentially promising transfer claim.

The Lowdown: West Ham in Broja hunt...

Amid his long search for a new striker as an alternative to Michail Antonio, Irons manager David Moyes has reportedly earmarked the 20-year-old as a top target for the Premier League club.

West Ham narrowly missed out on a Europa League qualification place for the 2022/23 campaign, finishing just behind Manchester United on the final matchday last season, with the Scot eager to ensure that they don't fall short again.

Broja could leave Stamford Bridge this summer amid interest from West Ham and other clubs, with O'Rourke sharing his belief over the possibility of the Albanian coming to the London Stadium.

The Latest: O'Rourke makes Broja claim...

The reporter has said that West Ham are indeed firmly in the mix to sign Southampton's former loanee after his brilliant loan spell at St Mary's last term.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, O'Rourke claimed that Moyes is seemingly 'ready to move' for the Albania international.

He said of Broja: “He could be on the move from Chelsea this summer. Obviously, he impressed during his loan spell at Southampton and West Ham are seemingly waiting in the wings, ready to move for him as well.”

The Verdict: Get it done?

Still just 20 years of age, Broja has all the potential to become a world-class forward after some real bright points under Ralph Hasenhuttl at Southampton during the 2021/22.

Albania assistant coach Sergio Porrini, a former Italy international, has certainly backed the 6 foot 3 powerhouse forward to hit the very top, having called him 'devastating' recently.

Saints legend Francis Benali has also hailed Broja as a 'sensational' player, and depending on the youngster's price tag, he could be a very welcome prospective addition for Moyes at West Ham.
