Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill has revealed that West Ham United are not currently considering David Moyes' future at the club.

The Lowdown: West Ham looking to buck the trend

West Ham are the only team currently inside the Premier League's bottom six to have not sacked at least one manager this season despite slipping into the bottom three at the weekend.

The Hammers were very easily swept aside last weekend in by London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, as they managed just one shot on target in the game, which almost sums up how their season has been going.

Moyes has struggled to find consistency with his attacking players this term, with Jarrod Bowen the top scorer with four goals, while in total, West Ham have netted just 19 times in the Premier League. Only three sides have scored less often.

The Latest: Moyes not in danger

Despite this shocking run of form - West Ham have won just once in their last 11 Premier League games - Cotterill has revealed from the club's training ground that the board aren't looking to make a managerial change.

He said: "All the teams around them in the Premier League relegation dogfight have changed managers, but I'm told by the West Ham board that there is absolutely no prospect of David Moyes losing his job as things stand.

"Names are being mentioned, aren't they - the likes of Pochettino, the likes of Thomas Tuchel, the likes of Rafael Benitez, but I'm told David Moyes would be the kind of manager, that if were they going to make a change, they would bring in to try and make sure they staved off relegation."

The Verdict: Huge vote of confidence from West Ham

It is a huge decision from the West Ham board to buck the trend by holding onto Moyes despite this poor run of form, and only time will tell if that proves to be the correct one.

Something that will be in Moyes' favour is that he is the man that wanted all of the Hammers' recent signings, so the board may be keen for him to get the most out of the players instead of gambling on them to performing under a brand new manager.

For West Ham to even be engulfed in a relegation battle is mind-blowing given they were in a Europa League semi-final just last season and are yet to lose a match in the Europa Conference League this campaign, but the threat is indeed very real and Moyes must soon pay back the faith from the board.
