Speaking to the press (via football.london), West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed the latest injury news on Lukasz Fabianski heading into their last game of the season against Southampton at the London Stadium.

The Lowdown: Fabianski missing vs West Brom

The Poland international missed West Ham's 3-1 victory against WBA at The Hawthorns in midweek after suffering a knee injury in the warm-up, with Darren Randolph having to take his place.

Since then, Moyes and co have been sweating on the fitness of Fabianski heading into today's match, where 10,000 Hammers supporters will be allowed back at the stadium in attendance.

The Latest: Fabianski could miss Southampton

The 36-year-old is now a doubt for the Saints clash as a result, with manager Moyes providing the latest on his state and confirming that West Ham face a late decision.

"I don't know yet," the manager explained to football.london when asked about the goalkeeper's chances of playing this afternoon.

"We will see, I don't think it's quite as bad as we thought at the time but whether he is available to play will genuinely be a last-minute call really."

While Fabianski could miss the game depending on a late call, two players who will definitely miss the clash are Arthur Masuaku (knee) and Manuel Lanzini (hip).

The Verdict: Moyes sweating...

While Randolph arguably held his own against West Brom, making three saves from inside the box and managing a solid 6.9 SofaScore rating, West Ham would surely want one of their more experienced first team regulars back in the starting XI.

Fabianski has been a mainstay this season, starting 34 Premier League matches, with Moyes recently heralding him as 'excellent' for his recent form as the Irons chase a European qualification spot (Independent.ie).

West Ham only need a point from today's clash to ensure that they're in the Europa League for 2021/22, and having Fabianski back between the sticks would come as a big boost. However, it looks increasingly likely that Randolph may be needed once more as the Hammers seek to finish an excellent season with the high of securing European football.
