According to a report by Football Insider, West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini has 'set his sights' on leaving east London this summer - coming after he was denied a January move to Paris-Saint Germain.

Lanzini, who has struggled for game time under manager David Moyes, now intends to pursue a summer exit due to the Scotsman barely using him in recent months.

West Ham could lose Lanzini

Moyes, when PSG reportedly came calling in the last window, did not want to lose the playmaker for the second half of this campaign despite the late signing of Jesse Lingard.

Clubs in Turkey and the Middle East were also interested in signing Lanzini, but GSB and the club apparently blocked any move out with the Hammers boss not wanting to let him leave.

The 28-year-old, however, now looks set to push for a summer exit after a lack of opportunities in the first team - coming after Tony Cottee pleaded for him get more game time.

Transfer Tavern take

Indeed, the former West Ham man urged Moyes to utilise Lanzini - branding him the Irons' 'best footballer' on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (December 26th, 2020, 13:44 via Hammers News).

Now reportedly yearning for a fresh challenge, it seems West Ham could now lose the attacker this summer.
