West Ham United owners GSBK have sent David Moyes a warning before the club’s game against Wolves in the Premier League this weekend, according to reports in the last 48 hours.

The Lowdown: Moyes under pressure?

The Irons headed into the international break in the relegation zone after a disappointing start to the season, taking just four points from 21, but now have the chance to turn it around when they host the Old Gold on Saturday evening.

Rumours have recently been circulating suggesting that the 59-year-old’s job could be under threat as a result of his side’s poor form, and it appears that the hierarchy have delivered a strong message to ensure that it doesn’t continue.

The Latest: GSBK’s message to Moyes

According to West Ham insider Claret and Hugh, sources from the club’s board have made it clear to Moyes that he’s under pressure. The outlet were told:

“There was a lot of money spent [over summer] and the manager had no interference when making window decisions so it’s on him to make things work.”

The Verdict: Proof is in the pudding

West Ham are undoubtedly in an extremely worrying position, but there’s nobody out there who would be able to turn this around more than Moyes.

The Scotsman spent just over £160m in the summer, so may need to be given more time to allow his new players to gel with the rest of the team before we see an impact on the pitch.

The squad at his disposal now is largely made up of the same players that have been at the London Stadium for years, including in the Europa League, so there’s no reason why they can’t find the form to become a success once again.
