West Ham United Exclusive: Carlton Palmer lauds David Moyes

Premier League legend Carlton Palmer has lauded David Moyes and the job that he is currently doing at West Ham United.
Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, Palmer hailed GSB’s acquisition of the experienced Scot as the ‘perfect fit’.
The former Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds United and Southampton star said that he is ‘not surprised’ that the ex-Manchester United and Everton boss is doing so well for the Hammers.
“I’m not surprised they’re doing well, Moyes is a good coach. Manchester United knocked him for six, and now he’s back to doing what he did prior (to that). He’s back to doing what he believes in.
“If you look at West Ham, they’re kind of like Everton, so it’s a perfect fit.”
Moyes has got West Ham off to a good start
Moyes has got WHUFC off to a very good start in the 2020/21 term so far, as he has won six of his 12 games in all competitions, including his last three in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).
That has left the East London team in a pretty impressive fifth place in the top flight, just one point and one spot off of the UEFA Champions League positions.
Is Moyes the right man to manage West Ham?
Yes

No

He was described as ‘outstanding’ by former EPL coach Owen Coyle for his work that he did with the Toffees, and Moyes has not been far off that so far in this campaign.
Of course, there is still a long way to go in the season, but the work that he has done so far has not gone unnoticed by Palmer, as the 57-year-old has been rewarded for his efforts by being offered a new deal by the club.
