Writing on Twitter, reliable club insider ExWHUemployee has backed other reports of big news at West Ham United regarding David Moyes – going on to say it should even be announced this week.
The Lowdown: Moyes and his new deal…
There have been various claims through the media in regards to manager Moyes and his impending new deal at the east London club.
Indeed, fellow insider Claret & Hugh claimed that the Scotsman has agreed a new three-year contract after completing talks over these last few days.
BBC journalist Simon Stone then followed this up with his own update, and while not as bold, he also reiterated news of the three-year deal and insists that it is ‘waiting to be signed’.
The Latest: ExWHUemployee backs reports…
Backing these multiple reports, dropping an exciting message on Twitter, West Ham in-the-know ExWHUemployee has reinforced these claims and believes himself that Moyes’ extended stay is all but announced.
Replying to a fan query, asking if the C&H report was indeed true, Ex explained:
“Yes, I already have many times mate.
“It’s been done for a while. Should be announced this week.”
The Verdict: Huge news for West Ham…
Amid the bold claims of Moyes becoming a contender for the newly vacant role at Everton, news of the 58-year-old’s impending announcement of a new deal should come as music to the ears of Irons supporters.
The former Manchester United manager guided West Ham through a fantastic 2020/2021 campaign, with the Hammers going on to clinch a Europa League group stage spot for next season by finishing sixth.
Of course, after a ground-breaking campaign, hugely improving on their 16th-placed finish the year before, West Ham tying down their overachieving boss should come as a big boost.
