Taking to Twitter, reliable club insider ExWHUemployee has now shared some injury news for supporters before West Ham’s crunch Europa League second leg clash with Sevilla tonight.
The Lowdown: Cryptic Moyes…
Speaking ahead of this evening’s all-important battle at the London Stadium, with West Ham aiming to turn around a one-goal deficit against the La Liga giants, manager David Moyes refused to give much away in regards to fitness updates.
The Irons first-teamers are apparently touch-and-go depending on late assessments with insider Ex sharing what he knows on their possible availability.
The Latest: Ex shares injury news…
Writing on social media, the insider claims that both men are ‘big’ doubts ahead of West Ham’s second leg – even despite Antonio taking part in some physical training.
“He [Antonio] has still trained as in his has physically taken in part in activity for two days now,” he said on Twitter.
“Which shows it’s not as serious as first feared although he is still a big doubt for tomorrow as is Cresswell.”
The Verdict: Moyes praying for late boost?
Both men have been key under Moyes over 2021/2022 with Antonio having the joint-most shots at goal and making the most key passes per 90 on average out of West Ham’s entire squad in the Premier League (WhoScored).
Cresswell, meanwhile, is Moyes’ biggest threat from out wide – completing more crosses per match than any of the Scotsman’s stars, including attacking players (WhoScored).
Taking this into account, the fact they are both ‘big’ doubts for tonight comes as a real worry and there is little denying the Irons boss will have his fingers crossed for what would be an unlikely late boost.
