West Ham United: Fans fume at David Moyes during London derby draw

West Ham United: Fans fume at David Moyes during London derby draw - West Ham News

David Moyes returned to the touchline for West Ham United following his isolation spell and he went through a rollercoaster of emotions as the Hammers drew 3-3 with rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

It was a horrible start for the East London side as they were three goals down in the first 16 minutes. From the start of the game moment, Spurs were cruising, and despite West Ham having thirteen attempts, only four shots were on target, per SofaScore.

Despite their miraculous comeback, many of the Hammers fan base were furious with Moyes following the match. In their last two Premier League matches, they had beaten Wolves and Leicester, scoring seven goals and conceding none, with Moyes not on the sidelines.

These two victories came whilst Moyes was isolating and many of the fan base have been quick to point this out, with one saying, ‘Business as usual resumed’.

Defender Fabian Balbuena was the first scorer for the Irons, and a Davison Sanchez own-goal gave them some hope. It looked to revive the players and substitute Manuel Lanzini scored a screamer in the dying seconds of the game to salvage a draw.

However, the result made West Ham’s performance look better than it was and there is still a lot for the manager to do if he wants the side to have a good season.

Here’s what West Ham fans said about Moyes during the game, before his side completed the comeback

Not sure if this is a pattern but when David Moyes was out, #WHUFC played out of their skins. Business as usual resumed #GSBOUT
