Many West Ham United fans have been expressing their anger on Twitter, following an interview on TalkSPORT with PAI Capital consortium leader Philip Beard.

Of course, the former QPR chairman is currently embroiled in a battle to acquire the club from current owners David Gold and David Sullivan [TalkSPORT].

They have also sought successful backing from former West Ham icons, with the likes of Rio and Anton Ferdinand backing the potential transition of the historic footballing entity into new hands.

The organisation have copped their fair share of criticism in recent times, not least from ex-Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan, who was part of the interviewing panel on the radio station.

He stated that Beard and his colleagues were ‘playing to the gallery’ with regards to their communication surrounding their bid to buy controlling stakes in the club.

Despite this, Beard offered some encouragement on the transfer front, as reported by The Athletic's Roshane Thomas on Twitter, stating: "If we do complete a deal we will have the funds to invest in players."

Nevertheless, loads of unconvinced West Ham United fans took to Twitter to discuss these claims.

West Ham United fans react:

Replying to well-respected journalist Thomas on Twitter, here is what some fans had to say about the interview:

"What funds? Where is the money coming from? Who is the main financial backer? Is the investment on the pitch going to be a regular activity or is it just to sweeten the fans whilst they cash in on events? Alot of questions asked, none officially answered."

"These guys got no answers and is being incredibly vague. Maybe he’s keeping his cards close to his chest, but he’s not convincing at all. It’s very much coming across as a property deal."
"Dreadful interview I was still on board with them till listening to him"

"Don't believe them and he needs to stop talking about the area around the stadium and the bloody O2!!!"
