Many West Ham United fans are supportive of forward Jarrod Bowen after his recent slump in form.
The 24-year-old has not scored or provided an assist for the past three games and has not played a full 90-minute encounter for almost a month (Whoscored).
Despite this, Bowen has still found the net on five occasions and provided three assists from 21 starts and has averaged a match rating of 6.75, the fourth highest out of any West Ham player that has played more than 20 times during the 2020/21 campaign.
David Moyes’ side is having a magnificent season so far, with the Hammers currently sitting in sixth place and just one point behind last season’s champions Liverpool in fourth.
Should Bowen start for West Ham?
Because of this, supporters were still upbeat that Bowen could find his form once more and play a huge part in his side’s success this season. A Hammers fan on Twitter (via @willlebeau18) posted the question to the London Stadium faithful for them to react to.
Bowen feels the love from these West Ham fans
“One of our best players Moyes shouldn’t drop him every game.”
“Not been great but it’s just a bad patch we all know he will get back to his old form again”
“Bad form still one of the best players in the team however”
“I think he’s been really over criticised personally. It’s a bit of Pablo Fornals syndrome…he offers so much defensively for the side. He does need to build confidence from an attacking sense but it will come! He’s young enough to improve”
“Going through a tough patch, but he’s probably very fatigued with his work rate and the number of games. He’ll come through this stage just needs a rest and time to recover”
“Confidence player. Thrives on praise. Needs our positivity!”
