Indeed, the Danish defender has apparently made a big impression at Rush Green since signing, with a West Ham source explaining how coaching staff have earmarked him for the senior squad.

Moyes and co are apparently in ‘no doubt‘ the 21-year-old is capable of playing at the very highest level, coming after just a few cameos for the clubs Under-23s so far.

The Hammers boss believes that Alves has made so much progress already at West Ham that he will soon be able to compete with defensive regulars in the first team.

Lifting the lid on this Moyes plan, it appears Alves has been earmarked for a genuine first team role over 2021/2022 – and this report suggests Irons fans could soon see the centre-back in action.
