West Ham United are plotting a move to sign Dynamo Kyiv winger Viktor Tsygankov in January, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Cut-price deal available

The Ukrainian has now entered the final year of his contract with Mircea Lucescu’s side, and the upcoming transfer window will present the last big opportunity for them to cash in before losing him on a free next summer.

Several Premier League clubs appear to have been alerted by the 24-year-old’s contract situation, and the Irons have been name-checked to be interested in a potential cut-price deal.

The Latest: West Ham monitoring Tsygankov

According to French outlet Jeunes Footeux (via Sport Witness), West Ham, alongside Wolves and Newcastle, are all ‘keeping an eye’ on Tsygankov.

It’s reported that the forward ‘isn’t lacking suitors’, with the London Stadium outfit ‘lurking’ in the background to see whether a future deal could be struck.

The Dynamo star could be available ‘either on a free or a reduced fee in January’, a proposition that currently sounds ‘attractive’ to GSBK.

The Verdict: Perfect for Moyes

West Ham had a brilliant summer transfer window, but the one area that still needs addressing is the wide areas, and Tsygankov would be the ideal addition for Moyes.

The ‘outrageous’ talent, as dubbed by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, has made a terrific 147 goal contributions in just 220 senior appearances for Dynamo and is a versatile player, having previously operated in the midfield as well as on both flanks (Transfermarkt).

Tsygankov being available for a cheaper fee would be a bargain given what he has to offer, so this is definitely a deal that the Scot should be aiming to get over the line in the New Year.
