[The Athletic (subscription needed)](https://theathletic.com/1349594/2019/11/05/they-press-once-they-press-twice-and-then-they-walk-can-west-ham-stop-the-slump/) report that Juventus are pondering a move for West Ham number 10 Manuel Lanzini, with the report claiming that the Serie A champions are contemplating whether or not to revive their interest in the Argentinan midfielder despite the 25-year-old magician penning a new contract this summer until 2023 ([per West Ham’s official website](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/august/30-august/manuel-lanzini-signs-new-long-term-contract-west-ham-united)).

With West Ham signing the Argentine international for a reported fee of £9m, according to [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/mar/22/manuel-lanzini-permanent-deal-west-ham-united), Irons supporters on social media were seemingly comfortable with Lanzini potentially leaving east London if a big offer was to come in for the former Al Jazira playmaker.

Here’s what some West Ham fans had to say about Juventus potentially reigniting their interest in Lanzini, with a surprising number of fans open to the prospect of the playmaker departing for the European giants…

> £45m I’d 100% sell, he’s a talent he’s just not consistent enough, it’d also allow us to cover CM & our defence, Demiral +30m I’d bite your hand off!\
> Love Lanzini but he’s not looking like a 100k P/W player or a shadow of his former self…

> yes. good player but just doesn’t do enough. after payet went I thought he was really going to step up but just never really has. no consistency for me.

> That’s good news as he does sod all whenever he starts. An offer of around £25m-30m should do it.

> If it’s a good offer take it. Never been a consistent player since he’s been with us.
