Many West Ham United fans have been left to fume as ExWHUemployee dropped some transfer insight on Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Replying to a Hammers supporter on Twitter, the East London club insider has shared that they have scouted the Chelsea man, who is currently on loan at Fulham, and that they have been ‘very keen’ on signing him in the past.
Should West Ham sign Loftus-Cheek?
However, Ex also added that his wages and injuries are a ‘concern’.
Loftus-Cheek has struggled with various injury problems throughout his whole footballing career, and so it would be a big risk if David Moyes’ team were to revisit their previous interest in him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old has also struggled in a side that has been relegated from the Premier League this season, only managing one goal and no assists from midfield in 31 games in total over all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).
West Ham fans on Loftus-Cheek insight
These members of the London Stadium faithful fumed as the insight was shared on Twitter, as they strongly feel that the Irons should not try and rekindle their interest in him this summer:
“He’s absolutely finished nowadays, would much rather go for Oxlade-Chamberlain if we were going for an injury prone CM lol”
“I have watched him a number of times playing if you can call it that for Fulham. He showed very little interest at all. So avoid him at all costs.”
“Not for us, won’t bring anything to our club.”
“Yep steer clear, he’ll be constantly injured for us. As Moyes says we need “robust” players.”
“He seems a flop to me. I wouldn’t pay much for him.”
“Not sure how he can demand such a high wage when he’s barely played, you’d think he would just want to play some football by now.”
