Forza Italian Football editor Conor Clancy reckons Nikola Milenkovic would be a solid signing for West Ham United.
The Hammers have been keen to bolster their central defensive options before the transfer window closes and Fiorentina’s Milenkovic is thought to be high on boss David Moyes’ wishlist after failing to persuade Kurt Zouma to join from Chelsea.
West Ham are looking to add strength in depth after a club record Premier League points tally secured Europa League football for the upcoming campaign.
Should West Ham sign Milenkovic?
However, Italian media outlet Calciomercato has confirmed the east Londoners are not the only Premier League side showing an interest in Milenkovic. The report suggests Tottenham Hotspur have been courting the 23-year-old, who has entered the final year of his Fiorentina contract.
Serbia international Milenkovic made 37 appearances for Fiorentina last term, scoring three goals and adding an assist.
Serie A expert Clancy believes Milenkovic is ready for a new challenge and London Stadium could be his next destination.
He told The Transfer Tavern: “Milenkovic is definitely the best of Fiorentina’s defenders.
“I would imagine if he was playing alongside someone who was the main man at the back, then Milenkovic could do quite a solid job.”
